I always knew...

 I always knew I was a kind and loving person.

I was able to see this light through two souls:

my grandmother and my dog.

Through them, I felt love and light ,

and I held on to it with my life. 

Despite the terror, the nightmares,

and all the confusion,

I felt this love that has always existed within me.

With this light and love,

 I can turn anything around, 

see it differently

and keep going.

Let the words flow through my body,

let the knot dissolve.
